Maimoon

About the restaurant

Its design combines the eclectic East with the stern Baltic. Scarlet chili vines are entwined around columns, hive-shaped lanterns provide warm lights above tables, copper pots engage in a dance of reflections above the tandoor. Peculiar Pirosmani-style interiors simply urge you to have a shot of chacha –and why wouldn’t you, since there’s plenty here.

Georgians have a saying – when God was distributing lands to peoples, Georgians got themselves a paradise. The one which brand-chef Iso Dzandzav shares with her guests: pork on a stick with mouthwatering tkhemali sauce, velvet-like satzivi and puffy achma. Every dish had plates designed especially for it. The silky threads of Suluguni cheese, the golden Mchadi flatbreads and fragrant Kharcho soup which makes your head spin.

Georgian feast aside, you can treat yourself to Asian cuisine at “Maimun” – courtesy of brand-chef Pavan Kumar Mangera. Thick duck soup, different types of noodles and the pearl of the East – the spicy curry. Have a delicious dinner or a breakfast after a long party – “Maimun” is just the place to go. Kids can enjoy a designated jungle-themed children area You can dine, drink and enjoy our restaurant on Vasilievskiy Island 24/7. Шеф-повар: Iso Dzandzava never professionally studied culinary art, but that didn’t stop her from developing her own taste and vision of the Georgian cuisine. Having received medical education, she never expected that she’d have to give up a doctor’s career soon.   Today Iso runs kitchen at several of the group’s restaurants. Her culinary path began in early childhood – her mother and grandmother taught her secrets of cooking delicious meals. That’s why at her restaurants she tends to cook exclusively upon her own household recipes.

Supervisor of the group’s Oriental division and the restaurant’s brand-Chef Iso Dzandzava makes sure that the Uzbek dishes here do not differ from the traditional national recipes

Chef

Despite that Iso Dzandzava has never been taught how to cook professionally, she has developed her own vision and taste of Georgian cuisine. Having received medical education, she could not imagine that she would never become a doctor. Now Iso is the Chef at the group’s ten restaurants.  She embarked upon the culinary path in the early childhood — her mother and grandmother let her in on secrets of cooking delicious food. That is also the reason why she exclusively implements her own home recipes into the restaurant’s menu.

“I was brought up in a family where seniors and children were respected and where  guests were always welcome. All my childhood I watched how my mother and my grandmother did their best to cook something special, and I liked it very much. I have preserved these recipes and now I use them».
