Aik Veyshtort
Chef
The human nature can be surprising. Some cannot cook a simple meal, but some have the cooking talent in their blood – comes from family heritage and being harnessed since early childhood. When one looks at how the grandmother skillfully makes delicious dishes, its hard not to get impressed. It’s incredible how she can masterfully slice a salad, cook a soup and fry a main course – all at the same time. The grandmother’s skill captivates and motivates for future culinary experiments.
It was the grandmother who became the first mentor of the future chef at “Pryanosti&Radosti on Belinskogo” restaurant – Aik Veyshtort. He learnt the basics of cooking under her supervision – at the age of 12 – and got good at it too. Just in a year he got his first job at Alexander Faus’ kitchen.
Aik believes that the main things about any type of work are non-stop development and self-perfection. During his career, he has never missed an opportunity to learn something new from the stars of global culinary art. His professional “baggage” unites the experiences of the world’s best chefs – which he learned during training classes in Moscow and abroad. He’s particularly proud of having been able to train with one of the world’s best chefs – the Argentinian maestro Adrian Quetglas.
Aik Veyshtort has a lot of professional achievements and triumphs under his belt. He is am honorary member of Kiev’s Association of Chefs, member of Belogorye’s Culinary Society, as well as ranking “golden Chef” in Astana. In 2013, he catered to the country’s top leaders and those of UNESCO. Aik sticks with oriental cooking traditions, which he learnt from his grandmother back in the childhood, as well as looking into current culinary trends. Being the chef of “Pryanosti&Radosti” restaurant and “Skoro Vesna” wine bar, he develops new dishes as well as surprising the guests with vibrant treats, opening a new look on traditional products!
